According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2017, the number of deaths for New Jersey was 74,763. Ocean County had the highest number of deaths (7,449), followed by Bergen County (7,289), and Essex County (6,176). On the other hand, Salem County had the lowest number of deaths (768), followed by Hunterdon County (954), and Warren County (1,084).
