According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2014, the number of deaths for Vermont was 5,602. Chittenden had the highest number of deaths (1,070), followed by Rutland (671), and Washington (570). On the other hand, Essex had the lowest number of deaths (58), followed by Grand Isle (61), and Lamoille (206).
