According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2017, the number of deaths for Vermont was 6,021. Chittenden County had the highest number of deaths (1,118), followed by Rutland County (706), and Windsor County (647). On the other hand, Grand Isle County had the lowest number of deaths (58), followed by Essex County (80), and Lamoille County (218).
