Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, there were 106,731 people that identified as Hispanic Black or African American alone in North Carolina and they represented 1.00% of the total population of North Carolina in 2022. Mecklenburg County had the highest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone population (18,830), followed by Wake County (13,250), and Forsyth County (7,350). On the other hand, Graham County had the lowest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone (11), followed by Swain County (19), and Madison County (22).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Hispanic Black or African American alone, Cumberland County had the highest percentage (2.14%), followed by Hoke County (2.13%), and Forsyth County (1.89%).
