Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2013, there were 1,271,477 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Alabama and they represented 26.32% of the total population of Alabama in 2013. Jefferson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (281,105), followed by Mobile County (145,357), and Montgomery County (128,656). On the other hand, Winston County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (155), followed by Cleburne County (498), and Blount County (860).
