Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, there were 29,949 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in South Dakota and they represented 3.53% of the total population of South Dakota in 2014.

Minnehaha County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (8,520), followed by Pennington County (5,141), and Beadle County (1,614). On the other hand, Campbell County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (17), followed by Jones County (20), and Faulk County (22).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Beadle County had the highest percentage (8.93%), followed by Marshall County (8.34%), and Corson County (5.04%).
