According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2012, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Indiana was -0.37. Boone County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (15.22), followed by Hamilton County (13.76), and Bartholomew County (12.82). On the other hand, Union County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-21.55), followed by Switzerland County (-17.92), and Pulaski County (-14.79).
