According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2022, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Mississippi was -1.4. Pearl River County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (17.7) followed by George County (16.64), and Lafayette County (12.98). On the other hand, Sharkey County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-37.56), followed by Quitman County (-28.25), and Leflore County (-26.39).
