Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2015, the 8,367,303 population of Virginia comprised of 743,385 people who identified as Hispanic (8.88%), and 7,623,918 people who identified as Non-Hispanic (91.12%).

Race: The White Alone population was the largest racial group in Virginia, with a population of 5,879,567 (70.27%). Black or African American Alone population was the second largest racial group in Virginia, with a population of 1,653,931 (19.77%). Asian Alone population was the third largest racial group in Virginia, with a population of 540,338 (6.46%).

Ethnicity: The White Alone - Non Hispanic population was the largest ethnic group in Virginia, with a population of 5,261,232 (62.88%). Black or African American Alone - Non Hispanic population was the second largest ethnic group in Virginia, with a population of 1,595,326 (19.07%).
