Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, the 8,683,619 population of Virginia comprised of 911,003 people who identified as Hispanic (10.49%), and 7,772,616 people who identified as Non-Hispanic (89.51%).

Race: The White Alone population was the largest racial group in Virginia, with a population of 5,947,332 (68.49%). Black or African American Alone population was the second largest racial group in Virginia, with a population of 1,737,910 (20.01%). Asian Alone population was the third largest racial group in Virginia, with a population of 637,656 (7.34%).

Ethnicity: The White Alone - Non Hispanic population was the largest ethnic group in Virginia, with a population of 5,196,054 (59.84%).
