Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, the 8,679,099 population of Virginia comprised of 952,167 people who identified as Hispanic (10.97%), and 7,726,932 people who identified as Non-Hispanic (89.03%).

Race: The White Alone population was the largest racial group in Virginia, with a population of 5,948,453 (68.54%). Black or African American Alone population was the second largest racial group in Virginia, with a population of 1,737,358 (20.02%). Asian Alone population was the third largest racial group in Virginia, with a population of 632,516 (7.29%).

Ethnicity: The White Alone - Non Hispanic population was the largest ethnic group in Virginia, with a population of 5,161,984 (59.48%).
