HATS category VIII – Stunning Effectiveness At approximately 0650 hours CSI REDACTED observed the following noncompliance: A hog was put into the V-belt restrainer by plant employee REDACTED who administered the initial electrical stun attempt. The initial attempt was ineffective as evidenced by the animal vocalizing. REDACTED, Kill Floor Lead, retrieved a backup firearm and delivered a corrective action stun which rendered the animal insensible, and it remained so thereafter. The V-belt restrainer was tagged with US reject/retain tag #B-45626656 and plant management was notified of the non-compliance and regulatory control action.
