On September 2, 2023, at approximately 0615 while conducting antemortem the following non-compliance was observed: Two cows were stuck at the North side snake entrance one on top of the other. The gate used to crowd the cattle into the chute went past last stop and got stuck while squeezing the two cows, one laying down and the other on top. The cows were released by maintenance at approximately 0635 and the gate was rejected using tag No. B37573520. Plant manager, REDACTED and pen supervisors, REDACTED, and REDACTED were notified of the forthcoming NR. These conditions do not fulfill the requirements of the following regulations: 9 CFR 313.1 and 9 CFR 313.2
