Non-Compliance Description:

Category III - Water and Feed Availability On 10/31/23 at 0840 hours while performing the review and observation component of the humane handling verification task the following noncompliance was observed. Cows were unloaded into pen area one and two. Two cows were located in the outside pen areas without access to water. This was for approximately 20 minutes. The hole in the railing that allows the animals access was closed off for unloading and was not reopened by the establishment. This was observed by IIC REDACTED and FI REDACTED. This is noncompliance with 9 CFR 313.2. Mr. REDACTED Sr. was notified verbally and opened the access hole. A search of PHIS did not show any recent similar noncompliance's.
