According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2014 Q4 was $1,036. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,698), followed by New York ($1,321), and Massachusetts ($1,314).

On the other hand, Mississippi had the lowest average weekly wage ($747), followed by Idaho ($783), and South Dakota ($791).
