According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2016 Q1 was $1,042. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,762), followed by New York ($1,455), and Connecticut ($1,362).

On the other hand, Mississippi had the lowest average weekly wage ($712), followed by Idaho ($724), and Montana ($751).
