Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2010, the citizen voting-age population for Illinois was 8,717,365 and represented 68.40% of the total Illinois population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest citizen voting-age population (3.38M), followed by DuPage (609.91K), and Lake (439.36K).

In terms of percentages, McDonough had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (82.62%), followed by Brown (81.29%), and Coles (80.78%).
