Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2020, the citizen voting-age population for Illinois was 9,064,395 and represented 71.28% of the total Illinois population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest citizen voting-age population (3.55M), followed by DuPage (649.27K), and Will (484.75K).

In terms of percentages, Hardin had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (85.60%), followed by Pope (84.91%), and Schuyler (81.80%).
