Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2024, the citizen voting-age population for Illinois was 9,094,987 and represented 71.64% of the total Illinois population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest citizen voting-age population (3.59M), followed by DuPage (651.65K), and Will (497.63K).

In terms of percentages, Hardin had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (85.16%), followed by Pope (85.08%), and Schuyler (82.88%).
