Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2022, the citizen voting-age population for Illinois was 9,143,765 and represented 71.67% of the total Illinois population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest citizen voting-age population (3.62M), followed by DuPage (654.55K), and Will (493.65K).

In terms of percentages, Hardin had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (85.95%), followed by Pope (83.03%), and Brown (81.85%).
