Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2023, the citizen voting-age population for Illinois was 9,080,000 and represented 71.54% of the total Illinois population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest citizen voting-age population (3.59M), followed by DuPage (649.84K), and Will (494.28K).

In terms of percentages, Hardin had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (86.07%), followed by Pope (83.89%), and Brown (82.04%).
