Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2010, the citizen voting-age population for North Carolina was 6,607,030 and represented 71.26% of the total North Carolina population.

Among all North Carolina counties, Mecklenburg had the highest citizen voting-age population (583.15K), followed by Wake (565.40K), and Guilford (337.99K).

In terms of percentages, Watauga had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (84.03%), followed by Transylvania (81.05%), and Clay (80.71%).
