Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2020, the citizen voting-age population for North Carolina was 7,636,495 and represented 73.53% of the total North Carolina population.

Among all North Carolina counties, Wake had the highest citizen voting-age population (760.15K), followed by Mecklenburg (742.21K), and Guilford (387.07K).

In terms of percentages, Watauga had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (84.95%), followed by Tyrrell (83.67%), and Avery (83.47%).
