Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2023, the citizen voting-age population for North Carolina was 7,783,960 and represented 73.54% of the total North Carolina population.

Among all North Carolina counties, Wake had the highest citizen voting-age population (802.37K), followed by Mecklenburg (771.36K), and Guilford (394.95K).

In terms of percentages, Watauga had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (85.20%), followed by Brunswick (84.29%), and Pamlico (84.17%).
