Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2021, the citizen voting-age population for North Carolina was 7,615,600 and represented 73.46% of the total North Carolina population.

Among all North Carolina counties, Wake had the highest citizen voting-age population (775.36K), followed by Mecklenburg (748.44K), and Guilford (389.58K).

In terms of percentages, Watauga had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (85.36%), followed by Brunswick (83.65%), and Avery (83.43%).
