Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2024, the citizen voting-age population for North Carolina was 7,898,161 and represented 73.61% of the total North Carolina population.

Among all North Carolina counties, Wake had the highest citizen voting-age population (824.68K), followed by Mecklenburg (786.42K), and Guilford (398.61K).

In terms of percentages, Watauga had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (85.79%), followed by Brunswick (84.54%), and Pamlico (84.25%).
