Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2012, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Indiana was 1,245,335 and represented 19.79% of the total Indiana citizen population.

Among all Indiana counties, Marion had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (232.45K), followed by Lake (124.31K), and Allen (41.19K).

In terms of percentages, Marion had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (27.41%), followed by Lake (25.93%), and St. Joseph (12.59%).
