Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2023, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Indiana was 1,311,185 and represented 19.94% of the total Indiana citizen population.

Among all Indiana counties, Marion had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (251.16K), followed by Lake (114.31K), and Allen (41.09K).

In terms of percentages, Marion had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (27.98%), followed by Lake (23.65%), and St. Joseph (12.40%).
