Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2013, the citizen voting-age population for Illinois was 8,883,985 and represented 69.14% of the total Illinois population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest citizen voting-age population (3.45M), followed by DuPage (627.68K), and Lake (452.47K).

In terms of percentages, Brown had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (82.33%), followed by McDonough (82.07%), and Pope (81.98%).
