Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2014, the citizen voting-age population for Illinois was 8,939,895 and represented 69.47% of the total Illinois population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest citizen voting-age population (3.48M), followed by DuPage (631.58K), and Will (457.00K).

In terms of percentages, Brown had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (82.78%), followed by Pope (82.45%), and McDonough (81.74%).
