Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2014, the citizen voting-age population for Maine was 1,044,335 and represented 78.61% of the total Maine population.

Among all Maine counties, Cumberland had the highest citizen voting-age population (219.71K), followed by York (156.05K), and Penobscot (122.19K).

In terms of percentages, Piscataquis had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (80.95%), followed by Lincoln (80.90%), and Hancock (80.73%).
