Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2023, the citizen voting-age population for Maine was 1,104,260 and represented 80.17% of the total Maine population.

Among all Maine counties, Cumberland had the highest citizen voting-age population (242.17K), followed by York (172.82K), and Penobscot (123.94K).

In terms of percentages, Piscataquis had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (82.95%), followed by Lincoln (82.69%), and Hancock (82.19%).
