Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2021, the citizen voting-age population for Maine was 1,082,845 and represented 79.79% of the total Maine population.

Among all Maine counties, Cumberland had the highest citizen voting-age population (237.73K), followed by York (168.20K), and Penobscot (122.47K).

In terms of percentages, Lincoln had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (82.23%), followed by Hancock (81.50%), and Franklin (81.35%).
