Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the citizen population for Alaska was 712,745 and represented 96.73% of the total Alaska population.

Among all Alaska counties, Anchorage had the highest citizen population (286.91K), followed by Fairbanks North Star (97.76K), and Matanuska-Susitna (97.34K).

In terms of percentages, Bristol Bay had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.47%), followed by Kusilvak (99.25%), and Northwest Arctic (99.22%).
