Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2023, the citizen population for Alaska was 712,030 and represented 97.01% of the total Alaska population.

Among all Alaska counties, Anchorage had the highest citizen population (278.03K), followed by Matanuska-Susitna (109.63K), and Fairbanks North Star (93.27K).

In terms of percentages, Kusilvak had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.58%), followed by Copper River (99.24%), and Nome (99.24%).
