Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2020, the citizen population for Alaska was 713,205 and represented 96.77% of the total Alaska population.

Among all Alaska counties, Anchorage had the highest citizen population (280.30K), followed by Matanuska-Susitna (106.07K), and Fairbanks North Star (96.30K).

In terms of percentages, Northwest Arctic had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.61%), followed by Kusilvak (99.46%), and Yukon-Koyukuk (99.34%).
