Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the citizen voting-age population for Hawaii was 1,006,725 and represented 71.21% of the total Hawaii population.

Among all Hawaii counties, Honolulu had the highest citizen voting-age population (701.49K), followed by Hawaii (141.76K), and Maui (113.44K).

In terms of percentages, Kalawao had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (100.00%), followed by Hawaii (73.19%), and Honolulu (71.07%).
