Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the citizen population for Alaska was 714,360 and represented 96.72% of the total Alaska population.

Among all Alaska counties, Anchorage had the highest citizen population (286.04K), followed by Matanuska-Susitna (99.57K), and Fairbanks North Star (97.72K).

In terms of percentages, Yukon-Koyukuk had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.36%), followed by Northwest Arctic (99.29%), and Dillingham (99.20%).
