Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Indiana was 1,276,885 and represented 19.93% of the total Indiana citizen population.

Among all Indiana counties, Marion had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (249.13K), followed by Lake (116.88K), and Allen (41.16K).

In terms of percentages, Marion had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (28.33%), followed by Lake (24.63%), and St. Joseph (12.85%).
