Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2024, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for New Mexico was 1,303,064 and represented 64.92% of the total New Mexico citizen population.

Among all New Mexico counties, Bernalillo had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (16.38K), followed by Sandoval (2.62K), and Doña Ana (2.48K).

In terms of percentages, Curry had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (5.33%), followed by Otero (3.69%), and Lea (3.60%).
