Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, the Black or African American Alone population in Florida was 3,223,313 and represented 16.70% of the total Florida population (19,302,016).

Among Florida counties, Broward County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (514,574), followed by Miami-Dade County (496,495), and Orange County (266,476). Gilchrist County had the lowest (959).
