Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2018, the Black or African American Alone population in Florida was 3,603,310 and represented 16.95% of the total Florida population (21,254,926).

Among Florida counties, Broward County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (585,660), followed by Miami-Dade County (488,946), and Orange County (315,496). Gilchrist County had the lowest (1,028).
