Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2015, the Black or African American Alone population in Florida was 3,412,261 and represented 16.88% of the total Florida population (20,219,111).

Among Florida counties, Broward County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (554,737), followed by Miami-Dade County (500,368), and Orange County (292,938). Gilchrist County had the lowest (974).
