According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2020, the number of deaths for Illinois was 118,232. Cook County had the highest number of deaths (46,387), followed by DuPage County (7,223), and Will County (5,185). On the other hand, Pope County had the lowest number of deaths (35), followed by Scott County (53), and Brown County (61).
