Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 3,213,462 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Florida and they represented 15.58% of the total population of Florida in 2016. Broward County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (534,547), followed by Miami-Dade County (436,320), and Duval County (272,132). On the other hand, Gilchrist County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (971), followed by Lafayette County (1,241), and Holmes County (1,256).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Gadsden County had the highest percentage (55.48%), followed by Madison County (38.22%), and Jefferson County (34%).
