Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2010, there were 236,696 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in South Carolina and they represented 5.11% of the total population of South Carolina in 2010.

Greenville County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (36,746), followed by Beaufort County (19,568), and Charleston County (18,789). On the other hand, McCormick County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (80), followed by Allendale County (239), and Abbeville County (258).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Jasper County had the highest percentage (15.03%), followed by Saluda County (14.33%), and Beaufort County (12.02%).
