Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 239,899 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in South Carolina and they represented 5.13% of the total population of South Carolina in 2011.

Greenville County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (37,749), followed by Beaufort County (19,197), and Richland County (18,750). On the other hand, McCormick County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (101), followed by Bamberg County (256), and Allendale County (259).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Jasper County had the highest percentage (14.7%), followed by Saluda County (14.42%), and Beaufort County (11.72%).
