Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, there were 256,459 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in South Carolina and they represented 5.31% of the total population of South Carolina in 2014.

Greenville County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (41,346), followed by Richland County (19,956), and Beaufort County (19,617). On the other hand, McCormick County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (119), followed by Bamberg County (259), and Allendale County (279).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Saluda County had the highest percentage (15.05%), followed by Jasper County (13.18%), and Beaufort County (11.19%).
