According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2012, the net domestic migration for Alaska was -1,324. Matanuska-Susitna Borough had the highest net domestic migration (1,080) followed by Fairbanks North Star Borough (570), and Kenai Peninsula Borough (209). On the other hand, Anchorage Borough had the lowest net domestic migration (-2,283), followed by Nome Borough (-139), and Northwest Arctic Borough (-129).
