According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the net domestic migration for Connecticut was -12,030. Middlesex County had the highest net domestic migration (191) followed by Fairfield County (117), and Tolland County (-643). On the other hand, New Haven County had the lowest net domestic migration (-3,997), followed by Hartford County (-3,907), and New London County (-2,316).

Net Domestic Migration for a given county refers to the the difference between number of people moving to the county from other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and number of people moving out of the county to other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico).
