According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2006 Q1 was $842. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,364), followed by New York ($1,249), and Connecticut ($1,190).

On the other hand, Montana had the lowest average weekly wage ($572), followed by South Dakota ($582), and North Dakota ($587).
